STOAKES GEAR TALK – BREEDLOVE ORGANIC WILDWOOD PRO CONCERT SUEDE CE

I’ve had the Breedlove Wildwood Pro concert guitar for about two months now, and let me tell you; I am in love. I reviewed the Organic Copper E guitar last year and I was very impressed, but this guitar is a whole new level!

Boasting a beautiful mahogany finish, this guitar looks stunning. Like the Copper E, this really is a guitar players guitar, it almost plays itself.

A gorgeous African Mahogany neck that feels really comfortable in the hand features a black stained fretboard with the Breedlove signature offset dot inlays. An offset headstock really finishes the look and makes this little guitar shine a little brighter!

Having said that, the tone and playability do that anyway. I think this is the easiest acoustic guitar I’ve ever played. You don’t have to work against it at all, in fact, it almost plays itself. The tone is really bright, and the sound truly fills a room. For a concert sized guitar, this sounds huge!

Plugged in, this thing is great. The Fishmann pick-up works wonders in getting a true sound. The EQ controls didn’t need to much adjustment. Playing the Breedlove I got a super, well rounded sound. Turn up the bass a little and you have the perfect tool for acoustic rhythm, turn up the treble a touch, and you’ve got your acoustic lead, this guitar quite literally can do anything! Personally, I preferred to leave all the controls in the middle and let the guitar and pickup work their magic!

Overall, this is a super guitar and would be a welcome addition to your collection. Breedlove aren’t flashy, they’re not showy, in fact they’re very understated, but they are built to do the job and this punches well above its weight. If you’re in the market for a new acoustic, I’d urge you to seriously consider the Breedlove Organic Wildwood Pro Concert Suede CE! I know I certainly am.
