MAYBACH, MANUEL RODRIGUEZ AND KARL LONGBOTTOM GUITARS ALL EXHIBITING AT THE BIRMINGHAM GUITAR SHOW THIS WEEKEND

The Guitar Show – the UK’s largest six-string exhibition – returns to Bingley Hall in Birmingham on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 May and promises guitar aficionados and music lovers a weekend packed with live performances and a chance to get hands-on with the best new guitar gear.

Among the exhibitors this year are a whole host of custom guitar brands and more main stream products are in attendance too. Karl Longbottom, Maybach (we reviewed the Teleman last year) and Manuel Rodriguez are all appearing alongside the industry heavyweights such as Marshall, Ibanez and Danelectro.

Zoom, our friends at sE electronics and Rode Microphones are also in attendance – this really is your one stop shop for anything guitar or guitar recording!

Among the Live Stage highlights, legendary Whitesnake guitarist Bernie Marsden will be appearing on Saturday 7, in conjunction with Marshall amplification. One of the finest players to ever come out of the UK, Bernie’s feel and technique on the instrument are renowned – his appearance at the show is set to be a blues-rock masterclass.

Also appearing live over the weekend are Britrock stalwarts Ginger Wildheart & The Sinners and fast-rising young blues wizards Aynsley Lister and Conor Selby (winner of Young Artist of the Year accolades at the UK Blues Awards in both 2020 and 2021). Elsewhere, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest producer Mike Exeter will deliver a guitar recording masterclass in association with Focusrite/Novation on each show day.

Tickets for The Guitar Show are available in advance (until 4pm Friday 4th May) priced at £15 (£10 for children age 8-16) and £17.50 / £12.50 on the door. Tickets are available from www.theguitarshow.co.uk
