Stoakes’ Song of the Week
Well, it’s December, it’s nearly Christmas and those of you who are regulars here at Stoakes Media will know that we are a little bit excited. We are doing a musical advent calendar to count down the days, but if you thought that normal service wouldn’t continue, then you would be wrong!
Here at Stoakes Media we don’t have a holiday timetable… We’re not Virgin Trains!! We will forge our way through the ice and snow to continue our normal service. And Saturdays mean just one thing. Its Stoakes’ Song of the Week. Continuing our Christmas theme, all the songs throughout December will be Christmas related. This is a great one to start us off too. Paul Nelson was our Advent calendar offering this morning, playing us a little bit of acoustic blues.
But, this is the song of the week. Paul has teamed up with former Spin Doctors guitarist Anthony Krizan who plays bass and offers his soulful vocals on the track.
Paul and Anthony recorded it over a few sessions earlier this year and they have in my opinion created a future Christmas classic that could easily join the likes of Slade and Roy Wood. Paul’s guitar playing is magnificent and Anthony’s vocals are equally stunning! So see you, same time next year Paul, and the next, and the next!
