Nazareth celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2018 with the release of ‘Tattooed On My Brain’ (their 24th album) and ‘Surviving The Law’ follows that album in spectacular style.
Featuring vocalist Carl Sentance, who joined in 2015 following original singer Dan McCafferty’s departure from the band due to health reasons, the remainder of the group line-up remains intact: Jimmy Murrison (longest serving guitarist in their history), Lee Agnew (drummer since Darrel Sweet’s death in 1999) and Pete Agnew (bassist and founding member).
Originally formed in 1968 in Dunfermline, the band broke big when, after supporting Deep Purple on a tour, they released the Roger Glover-produced ‘Razamanaz’ album in 1973 to critical and fan acclaim. An impeccable string of hit records followed that included ‘Loud ‘N’ Proud’, ‘Rampant’ and the 1975 smash ‘Hair of the Dog’, which contained the evergreen title track (later covered by Guns N’ Roses on ‘The Spaghetti Incident?’) and ‘Love Hurts’. The group have continued to release albums and tour the globe ever since. Get ready for a very welcome return from Nazareth!
