RICKY WARWICK RELEASES BRAND NEW SINGLE, ‘FIGHTING HEART’ TAKEN FROM HIS FIFTH SOLO ALBUM

Ricky Warwick, the superstar frontman to Black Star Riders and Thin Lizzy, returns with brand new solo single Fighting Heart, the first to be taken from stunning new album When Life Was Hard And Fast

When Life Was Hard And Fast is Warwick’s 5th solo album, and is set for release on 19th February 2021 via Nuclear Blast Records and will feature 11 brand new tracks, some of which featuring very special guests including Andy Taylor (Duran Duran and Power StationLuke Morley (Thunder), Joe Elliott (Def Leppard), Dizzy Reed (Guns n Roses). Ricky also duets with his daughter Pepper on the song ‘Time Don’t Seem To Matter’

Check out the new single below:

“The true spirit of rock n’ roll is a relentless pursuit that consumes me on a daily basis. Chasing after it, making this record was a race well run” comments Ricky. “I wanted to create an album that had the simplistic melodies of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers charged with the electric hedonistic fury of Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers. Recording the album as live as possible with a full band was requisite to achieving the desired effect”.

After a hectic several years of nonstop writing and touring, including huge Thin Lizzy anniversary shows, four Black Star Riders albums (including 2x Top 10 in the UK album chart) and most recent double solo album When Patsy Cline Was Crazy… And Guy Mitchell Sang the Blues, Ricky is no stranger to UK radio, TV and chart success. Black Star Riders have seen multiple A-list singles at Planet Rock Radio, playlisting and 2x Singles of the Week on BBC Radio 2, as well as a live to air interview and acoustic session on the Michael Ball Show and Tracks of My Years feature with Ken Bruce, in addition to dozens of regional ILR and BBC regional support (interviews and acoustic sessions)

The band is completed by fellow Black Star Riders bassist Robert Crane, drummer Xavier Muriel (ex-Buckcherry) and guitarist Keith Nelson who also produced and co-wrote many of the songs on When Life Was Hard And Fast
