PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS HEADLINE THE JUST PUSH PLAY FESTIVAL
The mighty Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons are to headline the Just Push Play Festival this summer.
Founded by Lee Graham in 2015 to mark the fifth anniversary of his Dad’s passing who sadly succumbed to a short but intense battle with cancer (it was merely 13 days from his diagnosis to him sadly passing away just 50 years of age) in 2010.
The first event was supposed to be a one off with local bands and a raffle. However the event raised over £1300 for St Nicholas Hospice Care (local hospice to Lee, who cared for his Dad during his final days), and the event returned in 2016.
The event has now evolved from its humble beginnings into an annual one day music festival, and to date has raised over £24,000 for the hospice.
In 2018 the festival moved from the social club it had been held in, to The Apex in Bury St Edmunds (800 approx. capacity venue) where it has been held ever since. In recent years the likes of Wolf Jaw, Massive Wagons, The Amorettes, Hollowstar and Dead Man’s Whiskey have all appeared at the festival.
Last year saw Those Damn Crows headlining and further sets from the likes of Bad Touch, Gorilla Riot, Piston, Florence Black, The Nile Deltas, Jack J Hutchinson, At the Sun and The Hot One Two. 2021 was their most successful show to date and in fact we sold out The Apex for the second year in a row
