OZZY SHARES PRO SHOT FOOTAGE OF HIS PERFORMANCE AT THE NFL HALFTIME SHOW
Ozzy performed at the NFL half time show last week and fans were left disappointed that broadcasters NBC aired just 10 seconds of the set – a small snippet of ‘Patient Number 9’ – before cutting to commentators.
Just 5 days later however, Ozzy Osbourne has released the entire ‘pro shot’ performance on YouTube. The performance sees long time guitarist Zakk Wylde join him and the band for Crazy Train. The band is completed by Andrew Watt on guitars, drummer Tommy Clufetos, and bassist Chris Chaney.

This represents Ozzy’s first solo performance in the States for over four years. The performance follows Ozzy’s appearance at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth games last month.
Speaking to the Guardian recently, Ozzy says the performance of ‘Paranoid’ has given him some optimism for the future.
“Since I had my (first neck) surgery and everything got f—ed up, it’s been three or four years since I’ve performed,” Ozzy said. “And I was thinking it’ll never happen again. But that show’s given me a bit of hope.”
On the subject of his ‘No More Tours 2’ UK tour with Priest, Ozzy says: “I’m saying to you I’ll give it the best shot I can for another tour. You have not seen the end of Ozzy Osbourne, I promise you. If I have to go up there and die on the first song, I’ll still be back the next day.”
The Patient Number 9 album was released last Friday and sees Tony Iommi team up with Ozzy for the first time on an Ozzy solo record. Working with producer Andrew Watt for the second time, Ozzy welcomed a dynamic A-list supporting cast. The record boasts guitarists Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, and longstanding righthand man and six-string beast Zakk Wylde who plays on the majority of the tracks.
For the bulk of the album, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers held down drums, while the late Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters made an appearance. Old friend and one-time Ozzy band member Robert Trujillo of Metallica plays bass on most of the album’s tracks, with Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses and Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction supplying bass on a few songs.
