FOO FIGHTERS, IRON MAIDEN AND RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE AMONGST ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME NOMINEES
Today the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced its 2021 list of inductees. Iron Maiden, Foo Fighters, RATM, New York Dolls and Todd Rundgren are amongst the list of inductees.
To be eligible for a nomination, a band or individual must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination. 2021 marks the first year on the ballot for both Iron Maiden and the Foo Fighters.
If the Foo Fighters are inducted, it will be Dave Grohl’s second entry into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, he was inducted as a member of Nirvana in 2014.
Other finalists include Kate Bush, JAY-Z, Chaka Khan, DEVO, The Go-Go’s, Carole King, Tina Turner, Dionne Warwick, Fela Kuti, Mary J. Blige, and LL Cool J.

Last year, despite COVID-19 the induction ceremony took place and saw T Rex and Nine Inch Nails inducted along side Whitney Houston, The Doobie Brothers The Notorious BIG and Depache Mode.
