Call of the Wild – Who to look out for…

With only days left before the first festival of the year kicks off. The Call of the Wild Festival promises a stellar line up, but who should you most definitely go and see… (Aside from the mainstage headliners of course)

Friday night on the Kilmister stage the Last Great Dreamers are playing. They describe themselves as ‘Glam-Tinged Power-Pop Rockers’ – I would say they are the best band that you’ve never heard of. Definitely worth checking out.

Also playing Friday, on the Badlands stage, is Syteria. Syteria is Jackie ‘Jax’ Chambers band, Jackie is known as the lead guitarist of the band ‘Girlschool’. These guys are well worth a watch…

Saturday on the Cloven Hoof Stage sees London based band the Kut play. These are a great band and I’ve seen them a few times over the past few years. Balls out rock and roll, a must see band of this years festival

Alternative punk/grunge band Hands off Gretel are another one to watch. Formed in 2015, this south Yorkshire foursome already have two albums under their belts. Expect great things from their set on the Kilmister stage

Sunday see’s folk rock like you’ve never seen it before with Cadence Noir on the Cloven Hoof Stage. These guys look really promising and are definitely a band to look out for in the next few years

And finally, to conclude my ‘to watch’ list…. Now this one is a bit contraversial as it clashes, I would imagine, with the Sunday night Headliner… But, Witch Tripper are headlining the Cloven Hoof Stage Sunday night. This is thrash at its best. There are no words, just Epic!

So, there you have it. My pick of bands you simply have to catch at this years Call of the Wild Festival
