SHETLAND ISLAND ROCKERS FORGOTTEN SONS RETURN WITH A KILLER NEW SINGLE & VIDEO
Forgotten Sons, originally hailing from Scotland’s Shetland Islands, return this week with an explosive new single, ‘Faded’.
Channelling the heart-on-sleeve punk rock emotional grit of Gaslight Anthem and The Menzingers, as well as the guile and anthemic drive of fellow Scots – Fatherson and Biffy Clyro. As you will see, the track is a real scorcher!

Like many bands during the pandemic, FORGOTTEN SONS have experienced countless difficulties, including leaving their label and losing their founding member, Magnus Burgess. But the irrepressible alt-rockers have pressed on to do what they love…create music and have fun in the process. With the inclusion of new bass player Stephen Ferguson added to the existing line up of Sandy Middleton (Guitar and Vocals) and John Gair (Drums), FORGOTTEN SONS return with their super infectious new single, Faded.
Vocalist and guitarist, Sandy Middleton, highlights the motivation behind the track: “The song is about finding the inner strength to recognise when a relationship has become toxic, having the confidence to start again and not letting the past define you. Faded is our call to arms, our anthem for new beginnings and a new narrative.” Sandy goes on to add: “The single was tracked, recorded, mixed mastered and engineered all in house by drummer John Gair’s recording studio ‘Poolhouse Studios’ to mark the start of a new chapter for our band and to capture our pure sound.”
FORGOTTEN SONS now surge forward, conducting the atmosphere of their home island, The Shetlands, to make music, that is according to the band, “both the calm and the storm”.
