LONDON BASED SINGER/SONGWRITER DANIEL LEIGH ANNOUNCES LIVE STREAM SHOW IN AID OF POPPY APPEAL

London singer/songwriter Daniel – best known as the frontman for rock bands New Device and Jordan Red – will be using his beautiful song, ‘For Better Days’  to raise awareness and funds for the Poppy Appeal.

‘For Better Days’ came to Daniel in a dream and tells the heart-breaking story of a WW2 pilot writing letters to his sweetheart who he never gets to return home to.  It is an incredibly moving song and has been a firm fan favourite.

The video to accompany the song is just as personal as the song itself. It  features old photographs from Daniels own archive and that of his team and close friends who have family who were involved in or were lost in the war. Making it an even more poignant reminder of how lucky we are now and how much we owe to those who are no longer with us.

During Lockdown Daniel has been performing live streams nightly on Facebook and Twitch and having reached 1.5 MILLION people to date with this song during those now seemed a fitting time to utilise that exposure for something good.

There has always been plans to do something with the song to coincide with Remembrance Sunday but due to commitments with other projects it has taken a little bit longer than anticipated.

Daniel understands that as well as the effects on the entertainment industry Covid-19 has also had a catastrophic impact on charitable donations.

Daniel is performing – in full – his Debut EP ‘My Little Eye’ on October 23rd via a live stream. This has not been done in its entirety since its release in 2012. Tickets are available via his website and £2 from each ticket sale will be donated to the Poppy Appeal.  The video for ‘For Better Days’ will be premiered during this stream and will be released on 26th October.

Tickets for the stream are priced at £7 and are available here
