Wheels and Fins Festival Cancelled

Sad news today as Kent’s beechside, boutique festival has been cancelled this year due to financial restraints.

The festival, which was due to take place the weekend of the 7th and 8th September in Kent, was in it’s seventh year. Acts due to perform included the punk duo Slaves, alternative rock band Frazer and set to close the festival were St Albans band Friendly Fires, who this month released their latest album ‘Inflorescent’ – their first full length album in over eight years.

Festival organiser’s are deeply saddened and have released the following statement:

“It is with absolute heart-breaking agony that due to financial constraints on our small growing independent festival we have been forced into the devastating decision that Wheels and Fins festival 2019 has been cancelled.
To the artists, traders and suppliers who we have worked tirelessly with all year, we apologise for the huge inconvenience this causes. To our loyal ticket holders we are truly devastated to disappoint you and thank you for your continued support.
We will have a more detailed statement to make in the coming days and ask that you please bear with us as we work with our ticketing partners and legal representatives to prepare the next steps.”

Stoakes Media will strive to keep people informed on the latest developments concerning this very sad and disappointing news.
