THE STEREOPHONICS, THE WHO’S SIMON TOWNSHEND AND THE LAST INTERNATIONALE JOIN BST PEARL JAM LINEUP

Pearl Jam are playing their biggest ever London concerts this summer at Hyde Parks BST festival. The will perform two nights, Friday 8 July and Saturday 9 July and BST have announced some very exciting line up additions this morning.

Saturday night sees The Last Internationale and the formidable Stereophonics join the US rock titans Pearl Jam for their second night at BST Hyde Park. The Who’s Simon Townshend along with The Murder Capital and The Glorious Sons will play Friday joined by previously announced special guests Pixies.

Pearl Jam’s BST Hyde Park shows are UK exclusives on two consecutive nights – a sign of their immense popularity after their original 2020 show sold out in record time.

Formed in Seattle in 1990, Pearl Jam were one of the pioneers of the alternative rock movement that changed music forever. Led by the frontman Eddie Vedder, their breakout debut album Ten, released in 1991, had a lasting impact on the scene, achieving mainstream success. They’ve inspired countless bands with their hits, including ‘Black’, ‘Jeremy’, ‘ Alive’ and ‘Rearviewmirror’.

The Stereophonics need no introduction, they are one of the biggest mainstream rock act out of the UK and have held that crown for the past 20 years. Since they formed in 1992 they have released twelve albums, their first album ‘Word Gets Around’ came out in 1997 and featured singles ‘Traffic’, ‘A Thousand Trees’ and ‘Local Boy in the Photograph’. Their debut album peaked at Number 6 on the UK album charts.

Since its inception in 2013, BST Hyde Park has featured headline performances from The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Bon Jovi, Neil Young, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Who and many more.

American Express presents BST Hyde Park 2022 is back after two years away for more unique shows and unforgettable music moments, for the 8th edition. It has become THE place to be in the London summer, a date in the diary for hundreds of thousands of fans every year.

2020 continued the tradition of must-see experiences that has seen The Rolling Stones return to Hyde Park, Carole King play her classic album Tapestry in full for the first time ever, comebacks for The Strokes and The Libertines and many more.

There was Celine Dion owning it, Stevie Wonder stunning with a greatest hits set, Barbra Streisand charming fans and critics alike in a rare show, Florence + The Machine bringing a host of female performers to their day as well as co-headliners The National and finally, Robbie Williams royally entertaining a sold out Hyde Park.
