SUPERGROUP ALAN HEWITT & ONE NATION RELEASE CAPTIVATING NEW MUSIC VIDEO “WE’RE ONE NATION”
Alan Hewitt keyboardist for the legendary rock band The Moody Blues, and his band Alan Hewitt & One Nation released their Grammy nominee and Global Award winning debut album “Evolution” in 2015 (Sony Red). The band’s second album entitled “2021” is expected to land this summer, and they are following up the first single Grammy nominee “One Step Closer” with “We’re One Nation”. The song and music video make a timely, inspiring and dynamic statement: united we stand, divided we fall.
Featuring a stirring music bed and lush vocal harmonies, the complexity of the sound is a juxtaposition to the clear and precise lyrics. The band’s blended harmonies call out people in action / viral attraction / disturbing reactions / opposing the factions / changing the narrative / changing the truth.

The song “We’re One Nation” is very much a social statement, but also a uniting one as well. “We’re asking people to put aside their differences and come together,” Hewitt, who also has 10 solo albums under his belt, said, “We wanted to capture the frustrations and montage of emotions we all felt in 2020. While it was written during a time of turmoil and uncertainty, the underlying message is full of light and hope.”
Alan Hewitt & One Nation is highlighted by an all-star lineup with award winning guitarist Duffy King (John Lodge), drummer Bill Ashbaugh (The Moody Blues, Pat Benatar, NSync), and bassist David C. Johnson (The Neville Brothers, Aaron Neville Quintet). Alan Hewitt & One Nation fuses rock, jazz and prog, returning to Hewitt’s roots when he was inspired by Chick Corea’s Return to Forever, Herbie Hancock, Weather Report and British Prog groups. The upcoming sophomore release ventures more into prog rock with lush vocals and intense arrangements reminiscent of early Yes, and Genesis but still retains their own hard driving fusion elements.
