DOWNLOAD ADDS ANOTHER 14 BANDS TO 2022 LINEUP

The folks at Download have announced this morning a further 14 bands have been added to the festival line up for 2022.

Steeped in rock history, Download takes place on the hallowed turf that is Donnington Park. The first major festival of the year, Download has made some pretty big additions to the lineup this morning. Last year, Download ran a festival pilot in conjunction with the national ‘test events’ that saw 10,000 lucky rock fans hit Castle Donnington and have a ‘normal festival experience’

Amongst the new additions, Welsh reggae metallers Skindred and Scottish swashbucklers Alestorm promise great festival sets!

Skindred frontman Benji Webbe says: “Playing the Download pilot after being locked down for a year and a half was an amazing experience so being invited back to our favourite festival and spiritual home to play alongside the likes of KISS and Maiden is a dream come true. Plus we have some amazing rockin’ new tunes which we cannot wait for you all to hear.”

Skindred and Alestorm are joined by Australian five piece Banks Arcade,
Ru Paul’s Drag Race star and singer Bimini, rap-rock-horrorcore artist Dana Dentata, LA’s Dirty Honey, UK newcomers Heriot, grunge master Kid Brunswick and Sweden’s melodic death metallers Orbit Culture.

Completing todays lineup announcement are Oregan Stoners Red Fang, industrial rockers SKYND, Colorado’s The Velveteers, Californian noise metallers Will Haven and Brighton rockers YONAKA.

The new additions join an already packed lineup that features over 100 bands. The festival is headlined by KISS (Friday), Iron Maiden (Saturday) and Biffy Clyro (Sunday)

Download Festival could not be more ready to reunite with its incredible community for the first time since 2019 and you can get your festival tickets here
